Hello! My name is Nurjannah Dalilah as a Year 2 Biotechnology Resource student in UNIMAS. Subject Animal Biotechnology has instructed students to hold a program called Service Visit Learning (SVL). Since we can't do it face to face due to this pandemic situation, this SVL needs to be extended through online. So, my teammates and I from G1C have agreed with G1K to plan to make an investigation comparison on the Management of Milk Production Companies between East and West Malaysia. My teammate and I have agreed to make an interview on the issue at a factory in West Malaysia.

Our project begins by finding any peninsula factory that is willing to accept offers for questionnaires through phone call interviews. At first, it was quite difficult to find a factory that matches the criteria with our SVL title. All 5 of my teammates worked hard to find it but many obstacles coming though. For example, some factories only process the milk but do not raise or breeding cattle. Luckily, there is a factory that has agreed to be our interviewee and it is very easy for us to deal with because it just by using WhatsApp phone number to communicate with the factory. This is flexible as we are dealing with someone who at a higher-up party!

After that, we will determine who will interview the factory and who will make the presentation later. With that, we had also listed a few problem issues and objectives on our topic to be interpreted more in the proposal. To make it more meticulous, we had decided to set a time to finalize the content proposal with all group members through Zoom Meeting so that everyone is clear about what will be done during this SVL program. I am very happy because my teammates all cooperate and come up with brilliant ideas.

Sales results, money money money!

Before........ & after! Wow so niceeeeee!

FSTS Mini Library from us! 😘❤😘❤😘❤

VOLUNTEERISM PROJECT REFLECTION

Today, we carry out a recycling project at every UNIMAS college. Me and 5 other members of the group were assigned to collect recycled stuffs around Chempaka college. Among the recyclable items we picked up are beverage cans, beverage bottles, paper and beverage boxes. After finishing the collection, we were crumbling the cans and jars to make them easy to carry. The picture below potrays me and Sophiya eagerly picking up recycled items until they are full of one big black plastic bag. Yay we did it! 🙆🏻‍♀💋

Tired but happy ! 😉

Wow, we managed to fill up this one big plastic bag with recyclable stuffs !

We sort the recyclable stuffs according their own types such as tins, bottles & boxes.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR MEETING

Last day, I made an appointment to see my academic advisor in his office. During the meeting, many interesting stories I shared with my academic advisor, Dr. Elexson Nillian. For the first time, we exchanged our biodata to enhance the atmosphere and get to know each other more deeply. I talk about my background and my family life in the village that live far away. In addition, we also talked about the recent mid-semester exams. I told him where it was difficult for me to answer the question and he also encouraged me to continue to achieve success for a bright future. Dr Elexson said it was not easy for us to be at the top, but with the time and hope we have now, it is not an obstacle for us to pursue our ambitions in the ivory tower. I hold and marked the words of Dr. Elexson to express the spirit in my soul and instill a positive value in myself. Later, Dr. Elexson invited me to see him again after the examination results came out. This was to help him determine if I was good and weak in all kinds of subjects. In addition, Dr. Elexson also asked to see him if I was in a difficult situation thus he could find a solution and overcome the problems together. I hope Dr Elexson can be a good role model to lead me in the right direction.

REFLECTION ON THE CAREER TALK

From the career talk that I had attended, I got exposes to the smart decisions in choosing a career. There are several differences between job and career. Firstly, job is a short term whereas career is a long term matter which built alongside during lifetime. Moreover, job most commonly separate from our personal life while a career is spills over into out personal life. Therefore, we should choose a career based on our interests and not just follow the according to the instructions of anyone, especially our parents. Because the end of the day, we are the ones in the workplace and we feel the risk when doing the career we choose. In conclusion, I take lessons from what I learned today — Let us not set our hopes so high that only to make others people happy. Just do what we feel comfortable and make us happy to do the things what we want to. 😊

All my friends were one of the reasons I got up and kept going forward without feeling any remorse 😘

My family is my soul to continue my life which full of obstacles and hardships. No matter how difficult it is, we will stay together forever ❤

She is the one and only MOM I love in this world and in the hereafter. My paradise 😘❤😘❤😘❤

Today, I am pursuing my undergraduate studies in UNIMAS's Biotechnology Sources programmeOn the first day, my classmates and I were attended as a group of 6 PPD students meeting each other in the Delima Hall and getting to know each other even though we were from different religions and races. I had the pleasure of meeting friends who came from different programs. Moreover, we could exchange each other's biodata to strengthen our relationship with each other. Our lecturer, Dr Fazimah also briefed on mental and physical fitness so that we could not give up easily. Dr Fazimah also introduced herself thus we could get in touch with her if anyone in trouble could also ask for help and solve the problem with her. During the introductory session, we were able to exchange each other ideas about the enjoyable and memorable time during stay at the university. In the activity, we were asked by Dr Fazimah to pair up and tell personal and family stories to brighten the atmosphere. From the activity, I got to meet my cute new friend named Sophiya Yaohani. She is from Sarawak. Sophiya told me a lot about the uniqueness of Sarawak and did not forget, she also told me about delicious food in Sarawak therefore I can get to know and have a chance to try it. I love to know more about Sarawak from her soon! So this is my lovely sarawakian friend — Sophiya Yaohani 🥰 & I love her soooo much!

WEFIE TRIP GUCCI GENK

Gucci genk!

Jambatan Cinta UNIMAS
All of my group members were hiding behind me (Jannah) with their tired faces. 🙈🌳🌉

UNIMAS Student Pavilion
We crossed the UNIMAS Lake by the Love Bridge (Jambatan Cinta UNIMAS) to reach to the Student Pavilion. 🥰🤟🏻

Faculty of Language and Communication
We took a grab car to reach this Faculty of Language and Communication (FLC). We decided to take this beautiful picture with Jalur Gemilang & Sarawak flag behind us to symbolize the spirit of love for the country of Malaysia! 🇲🇾❤

Centre Teaching Facilities (CTF3 & CTF4)
We arrived there by walking from our faculty which is Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST). Say cheeze! Everyone are awesome with our own free style.

Academic Staff Offices of Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST)
We reached out to each of the UNIMAS academic staff offices to capture the wefie with our team members. From here, we are new to getting to know each other and making jokes to strengthen our friendship.
Health Center of UNIMAS
This is Health Center of UNIMAS where we will make our medical checkup here! We recogniezd and looked into the place to make it easier for us to come here in the future.

Student Counseling and Welfare Unit UNIMAS
We were so captivated and excited by the colourful painting on the wall, so without waiting long, we were all smiles brightly to capture this memorable picture.

 Student Financial Unit
The real story behind this picture with Haziq's funny face there is that we don't want to waste too much time, therefore we keep capturing pictures quickly without putting out a single word from our mouth. So, here the result.
Dean's room of Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST)

 Undergraduate Studies Division of UNIMAS
To tell everyone how difficult it was to find this place, we used the WAZE apps in our mobile phone to get here. This is because the mini room is too small and hides behind a large part of the building.

CAIS of UNIMAS
We planned to capture this picture with the CAIS from a far distance because the surrounding area is so eye-catching and soothing to our minds.

UNIMAS Sports Complex
We had crossed to the Cempaka College to buy some cold drinks as there was a small bazaar there.

UNIMAS Auxiliary Police Office
This is the last picture we took because we had to find another time to get there by grab. This is because the place is on the East Campus that needs transport to get here. I really enjoy spending time with my team members because they are so sporting and easy to get along with. I hope that this will not change and our friendship will last forever! <3
